Personalized Ornaments
Welcome to my secure
site for ordering personalized
ornaments. All my original
designs are approximately 3-1/2" tall and are available
in African American as well as Caucasian skin, and each
personalized ornament is hand crafted from polymer clay.
Every personalized ornament is my own original design. I
have been designing and sculpting ornaments since 1983,
and I think you will be amazed at the number and variety
of my designs.
In 1983, before
polymer clay was even around, I began with only a few designs,
but even then they were all personalized for free. My original
designs included Santa,
snowman, baseball,
soccer, ballet
dancers, angel,
golf and teacher.

more designs, usually at the request of my customers. I
have now designed over 150 different ornaments - I add new
designs each year, and on occasion discontinue one or two.
My business has grown to the point that my husband, Jim,
and I now devote our full time to Smudges Personalized ornaments.
I have now designed
more than 60 professions. Not only have my designs
changed,
but I can barely keep up with the change in vocabulary,
to say nothing of political correctness. We now make

carry some Judaica- besides the menorah,

a dreidl or a Holy Book with the Star of David. These aren't
on the website, but you can order them by phone. We make
a baby's first

couple (that's a bride and groom!) as well as bridesmaid,
best man, even ring bearer! There's a child
in braces, brothers,
children in pjs
or children with

a snowman. We have a college

couple, complete with rhinestone "diamond"

On the holiday
page you'll see our dog and cat,
each wrapped in Christmas lights. We make people holding
a menorah, and
even a birthday
ornament for that holiday we all love to celebrate. Besides
the character ornaments we have been making all these
years,
my holiday
designs now include many family ornaments. (On this
website and at my mall locations, I sell, besides those
we make here in the studio, some of my designs that I order
from other ornament sculptors.) Our family ornaments
can
be personalized for the entire family. You can request
the family name as well as multiple first names and/or
a street
address on the family ornaments. These include a Christmas
Door and a fireplace
with stockings, a house, Mr.
and Mrs. Santa decorating a Christmas tree, a starry
night, and "From
our house to yours." More are in the design
stage, but those are the ones ready right now.
This list is complete,
but only until someone (usually it's a customer!) gives
me another idea, and I sit down to design some more ornaments
to add to my collection, and for you to add to yours. Remember
that these are all my own designs. Every one is an original,
and each one is copyright protected. Most are made right
here in New England, by hand, one by one. You can order
for just about anyone on your list, since they all come
as male or female ornaments, and can be ordered in Caucasian
or African-American skin. I update my website frequently
(no, that's a lie, Dan of DGK Consulting updates it for
me, you can find his information and a link to his website
on the first page) but I won't have every single ornament
up here no matter how hard I try. If you want to see an
ornament that's not on my website, email me and I'll scan
one and email it back. If you can think of an ornament I
haven't designed yet (I dare you! You're right; I don't
have a funeral director-yet) email me about that, too. I
may surprise you and have it, or maybe I can modify an existing
design to help you out. (I do custom work, but it's VERY
expensive, so we'll see if we can find a way to modify a
design at a reasonable price.)
